Our Story

Inspirata is a Christian family run foundation that provides specific and targeted assistance to furthering the health, education, and well-being of the children of Honduras.

When Lita, my mom, unexpectedly passed in March 2021, we desired  to keep her education legacy alive.  We started the Inspirata Foundation to help young children dream and achieve their goals.  We want to give them a chance of getting a good job in Honduras so they don’t have to leave the country to achieve the “American” dream, which in many cases can be more of a nightmare and comparable to modern day slavery for many of the immigrants that come to the US illegally.

In Tegucigalpa, many global Christian humanitarian organizations have ceased their efforts in Honduras because of their inability to keep volunteers safe, not Inspirata. Inspirata partners with POINT Honduras (one of the remaining Christian organizations in Honduras) to help give a few individuals: who exhibit the desire; dedication and discipline; continued education to better the lives of those around them. While giving blankets, clothing, toothbrushes and hugs are part of Inspirata’s mission, the main goal is not in assisting with material needs but rather in providing education for someone to be able to help themselves.

Our goal is to identify children with good grades and a desire to learn and support them financially.  We have partnered with POINT Honduras a non- profit organization in Honduras that helps 755 plus students in the gang-infested zones of Tegucigalpa. POINT provides tutoring, food, and medical attention to these kids while sharing God’s love and truth with them. We are currently sponsoring four former POINT children. Payton and Anyi are in high school, Rostin will be starting high school, and Gaby has a year left at the university finishing up her nursing degree. Grace is one of our other scholarship recipients she is also attending university and is studying marketing. Read more on each of their stories!

(Mat 25:40). In 2022, Erasmo, Lito, unexpectedly passed, leaving behind a legacy of service.
